Your Immune System and How Restoring an Alkaline pH Can Keep You Well

If there is one thing I know I want for my family of five is wellness.  Not only does wellness have a convenience factor, but it also has a longevity factor.  I want my family to be well and to enjoy each day together without having to constantly visit the doctors office with illness after illness.  That is time I don't want taken from me or my sweet family.  I know that I would be foolish in thinking that we are never going to be sick again or that we won't encounter some life threatning disease, because we are all susceptible to illness.  It is a part of life.  However, if I thought that I could reduce the potential for sickness for anyone I know and love, then yes, I would absolutely do that.  The more and more I read and research about alkalinity and its importance in strengthening your immune system and creating a more stable and balanced body, the more I realize that nuturing our bodies with a more alkaline diet needs to be a way of life.I strive to feed my children well. I have tried not to indulge them too much in sugar and processed foods. With that said, my middle child eats, sleeps and dreams when she can have her next cookie or cake. So, despite my best efforts, in America today, bad food choices are everywhere, and children are going to want them. I really dislike the "normal" snack choices given at pre-school and other extra events, but I have realized that instilling good choices of food is the best I can do and I ave to be okay with that. Anyway, back to alkalizing...drinking alkaline water is SO easy and terrific way to bring balance into your diet. Since disease and sickness thrives in an acidic environment, drinking alkaline ionized water consistently will strengthen your immune system and provide you with tremendous energy.
Proper hydration of alkaline ionized water plays a critical role in improving immune system function.
Water is an essential and the major component of all living matter, and the largest single component of our bodies. Water is the one substance (other than oxygen) that we must absolutely have if we are to survive.
In order to hydrate your body optimally, you need to drink water that is alkaline. Alkaline Water helps to remove free radicals and toxins from the body. Ionized alkaline water also helps to neutralize acids and balance your body's pH.
In general, our bodies are out of balance and have become too acidic. Feeling over-tired, weak, restless, frustrated, stiff, overwhelmed, unfocused or confused are often early warning signs that our bodies are no longer able to cope with their toxic overload.
Keeping yourself alkaline is your first line of defense in fighting any disease.
A body that is too acidic provides the ideal environment for diseases to manifest and thrive in. When dietary and other factors cause an overly acidic condition in our bloodstream, the body is forced to either eliminate or to store away acidic wastes in order to restore our body's critical pH health balance.

Our body then tries to buffer (or reduce) the effect of this excess acid by taking calcium from the bones, and magnesium needed for heart health. It turns acidic wastes into solids and stores them in fatty tissues resulting in hardening of the arteries and excess weight. It stores crystalline deposits in joints that create gout, inflammation and stiffness.

Ideally, water should have a pH between 9 and 10, and you should be drinking 3-4 liters of it daily. As you hydrate your body properly, you'll develop more of a thirst for water. Food cravings are often the body's cry for water. You might already have more of a thirst than you even realize.
